What hosting is best for me?

Traditionally Linux hosting has been the platform of choice for hosting reliable websites due to the stability of the operating system. With the arrival of Windows Server 2003 OS and the Microsoft Web Server IIS6, Windows website hosting took a giant leap forward and caught up to the reliability of Linux hosting.

The choice between Linux or Windows is dependant on the type of website you want to host.

Websites based on PHP run faster on a Linux platform. A Linux hosting account should be the preferred option for any PHP driven websites.

If your website is an ASP or .NET application then you must choose the Windows platform as this is not supported on Linux.
